About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Contract Officer 17.5 hours a week over 4 days to join our team in Oldham on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support the effective delivery of planned preventative maintenance, responsive repairs and where applicable programmes for equipment replacement.
  • You will be responsible for managing contractor’s performance, ensuring they work to all aspects of the contracts and deliver a high standard service.
  • You will have experience of contract management within a mechanical and electrical team, and a track record of working with various systems, such as fire alarms, CCTV, access control, warden call, auto gates etc.
  • You will be responsible for managing a budget and reporting accordingly on spend and value for money.
  • You will require experience of asset management systems and compiling compliance reports.
  • Assist contractors, tenants and colleagues with queries and complaints relating to your contracts to resolve them quickly and effectively.
  • Actively monitor and challenge the service provided by contractors and collect agreed performance information, presenting this in formats appropriate for the audience.
  • Arrange and administer regular contract review meetings to enable contractor performance to be scrutinised. This will include financial and operational performance.
  • Proactively maintain accurate records, including regular property and asset reconciliation with contractors, to ensure compliance is met.
  • Ensure purchase/works orders are raised promptly and accurately to enable works to be carried out and budgets to be monitored

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to gather information, diagnose problems, draw logical conclusions and suggest practical solutions.
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with contractors, tenants and staff across different functions.
  • Awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to asset compliance.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A sound understanding of financial controls.
  • Able to demonstrate Guinness behavioral competencies.
