About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Contract Officer to join our team in Oldham on a permanent basis working 17.5 hours per week over a four day week.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering Aids and Adaptations requests in line with our Policy.
  • Liaising with Occupational Therapists to determine resident’s requirements
  • You will be responsible for managing contractor’s performance, ensuring they work to all aspects of the contracts and deliver a high standard service.
  • You will be responsible for managing a budget and reporting accordingly on spend and value for money.
  • Assist contractors, tenants and colleagues with queries and complaints relating to your cases to resolve them quickly and effectively.
  • Actively monitor and challenge the service provided by contractors
  • Ensure purchase/works orders are raised promptly and accurately to enable works to be carried out and budgets to be monitored.

You’ll not only be experienced contract officer with a track record of Aids and Adaptations processes but you’ll also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to gather information, draw logical conclusions and suggest practical solutions.
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with contractors, tenants and staff across different functions.
  • Awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to Aids and Adaptations and the Equality Act 2010
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A sound understanding of financial controls.
  • Able to demonstrate Guinness behavioural competencies.
